Kinesys is a growing, high-end consultancy company specializing in Drug Regulatory Affairs, Medical Writing and Medical Devices. The company’s head office is based in Glasgow, UK. Kinesys also has a presence in the rest of the UK and Europe. Our clients range from some of the largest global pharmaceutical companies, to cutting-edge biotechnology and innovative start-up firms. We are currently looking to recruit a Manager of BD and Marketing to help accelerate the next phase of growth of Kinesys.

Candidate profile

The successful candidate will be a focused individual with excellent communication and analytical skills who enjoys working in small teams in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will have a first degree in either a life science or a business discipline. A higher qualification in either area would be valued, as would a combination of both life science and business qualifications. The candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in BD or Marketing, preferably but not necessarily including a role in a consultancy, a CRO, or a bio-pharmaceutical company. Expertise in client lead generation, managing social media / digital marketing, setting up webinars, and some knowledge of managing and designing websites is required. Experience dealing with clients in EU and USA will be valued.

Job description

This is a role for a hands-on individual who enjoys the opportunity to take on a range of different tasks. The role will report to the CEO, and you will also work closely and collaboratively with other senior staff in the Regulatory, Medical Writing and Devices functions. Together with senior colleagues, you will: assist in devising the company’s business development and marketing strategies; cultivate business leads and relationships with new and existing clients; manage our social media presence and digital marketing including outreach and analytics; prepare Proposals and respond to RFPs; be responsible for maintaining the content of the company website and proposing design improvements, as well as other day-to-day BD tasks.

Location and working hours

The role can be either fully office-based in Glasgow, a hybrid of office and home working, or for the right candidate, home-based with monthly visits to the Glasgow office. Working hours are negotiable.


The salary will be commensurate with the experience and skill sets of the candidate, ranging from £30K – £40K per annum. The role also offers an annual, performance-based bonus, and a pension.
